Packaging in Coventry

Went to the packaging show at Coventry recently, and it was really interesting to meet suppliers and learn about their products. We came away with lots of samples which will go into a resource box, so anyone involved in packaging will know who can help them develop their project. Saw lots of lovely stuff which we wanted to find a use for, so come on clients, get those briefs in!

Visiting the Baby Show

Getting out there and seeing the bigger picture is just as important as our day to day design work. I visited the Baby Show recently - no, I’m not having one thank goodness, but it was very useful to see all the different brands out there in the baby industry.

The power of language

Language is powerful. I’ve seen first hand what happens when you change language and the result is changed behaviour. Take a simple word like ’staff’. When an organisation with 50,000 of them decided to call them ‘our people’, shift happened. Staff are a commodity, a mass of resource, usually subordinate.
