The shavers are out, the beards are off and a winner will be announced early next week. Our eighteen hirsute contestants have raised a fantastic £200 in memory of Tommy Bennett for the Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre (CBTRC), based at Nottingham University.
Tommy Bennett was a very brave toddler who suffered from anaplastic oligodendroglioma a rare and very serious brain tumour, which grew to a third the size of his brain. Tommy was treated at The Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre (CBTRC), based at Nottingham University, Led by Professors David Walker and Richard Grundy, the centre carries out extensive research and aims to find a cure for all child brain tumours as well as to reduce the disability caused by them. A very deserving cause!
