Perfect paper patterns
I came across this artist/sculptor whilst browsing the internet and was blown away by her paper sculptures and drawings. Take a look at Miami-based artist Jen Stark’s website.
She only graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, in 2005 and is already an old-hand on the gallery circuit, and you can see why. Her pieces are made of coloured construction paper, cut through with a knife to create three-dimensional sculptures. They are beautiful, interactive and fun whilst giving an everyday material an amazingly vivid burst of life. It makes me want to have a go at a bit of paper sculpture too!
