Management buy out
Jupiter Design has this week changed hands in a management buy out. A majority stake in the business has been bought by MD Jayne Mayled.
Jayne was brought in to run the business by founder Mark Shaw in November 2006, who will remain a minority shareholder.
Jayne, who spent 19 years in senior positions at Boots prior to becoming Jupiter’s MD, now plans to lead the agency’s 80 strong team on a journey of continuing growth and success, building on Jupiter’s already solid industry reputation.
She said: “It’s an incredibly exciting time. Mark Shaw founded a great business in Jupiter and I feel very privileged to lead our talented team on the next stage of our journey”.
Earlier this year Jupiter was named 2nd largest agency in the UK for print design in Design Week’s league table of the 100 top agencies in the UK.
Mark Shaw said: “I wish Jayne and her team every success with the next stage of Jupiter’s evolution and I am sure that the business is in very safe hands.”
