			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Jupiter Design has this week changed hands in a management buy out. A majority stake in the business has been bought by MD Jayne Mayled.</p>
<p><span id="more-567"></span></p>
<p>Jayne was brought in to run the business by founder Mark Shaw in November 2006, who will remain a minority shareholder.</p>
<p>Jayne, who spent 19 years in senior positions at Boots prior to becoming Jupiter’s MD, now plans to lead the agency’s 80 strong team on a journey of continuing growth and success, building on Jupiter’s already solid industry reputation.</p>
<p>She said: <em>&#8220;It’s an incredibly exciting time. Mark Shaw founded a great business in Jupiter and I feel very privileged to lead our talented team on the next stage of our journey&#8221;</em>.</p>
<p>Earlier this year Jupiter was named 2nd largest agency in the UK for print design in Design Week’s league table of the <a title="Design week top 100" href="http://bit.ly/hCRwN" target="_blank">100 top agencies</a> in the UK.</p>
<p>Mark Shaw said: <em>“I wish Jayne and her team every success with the next stage of Jupiter’s evolution and I am sure that the business is in very safe hands.”</em></p>

<p>We actively take on several not for profit projects throughout the year as a way of giving our skills and time to the communities in which we work and live.</p>
<p><span id="more-562"></span>During 2010, the Rainbows hospice will double in size as they open a new wing to the hospice with state-of-the-art facilities specifically designed to enable the care of children into young adulthood. Rebecca Singleton, Trustee for Rainbows (and Head of Instore Marketing for Sainsbury’s) knew this would be the perfect time to create a new brand identity. Our brief was to make it instantly recognisable, relevant to the expanded age profile of patients, communicate that the hospice services the whole of the East Midlands, and to provide stand out in what is a really competitive market.</p>
<p>The new brand identity was launched on 21st September, to coincide with their 15th birthday celebrations and has already started to make a significant impact in engaging existing and new donors.</p>
<p>Rebecca said <em>“It has been such a pleasure working with Jupiter again and I am delighted that they took on the Rainbows challenge of developing a new brand identity. The team at Jupiter, led by Lorna, have been true professionals who have got really close to the Rainbows team to understand the brand and the unique challenges we have in caring for our Rainbows children and their families. The solutions and ideas that have been developed are outstanding and truly move Rainbows as a brand into a new and very exciting place. <p>We’ve thoroughly relished the opportunity to work with the team at <a title="Visit the Sport Lived website" href="http://www.sportlived.co.uk" target="_blank">Sport Lived</a> to create a whole new online experience for their brand.</p>
<p><span id="more-556"></span>The Sport Lived mission is simple: To help young people explore the world through sport.</p>
<p>The brand creates and manages unique gap year opportunities, allowing students to play or coach their chosen sport – from swimming, tennis, rugby to athletics and football, in some of the world’s most exciting cities. Their whole approach is based on attention to detail, from the expert and efficient programme co-ordination, through to the selection of high quality accommodation. It adds up to a once in a lifetime opportunity. And that’s what we needed to reflect in the brand’s new website.</p>
<p>Our focus was to bring the brand to life, sharing the experiences, relationships and achievements made by participants in their own words and pictures. With so much practical information to communicate to prospective participants (and their paying parents), from costs to booking and Visa requirements, our approach was to allow people to get what they needed without getting bogged down or distracted from the amazing opportunities on offer.</p>
<p>With the current economic climate and the imperative for students to make every experience count, maximising their career and life opportunities, we’re confident that the brand and it’s new website can attract more young people to explore the world.</p>

<p>The 2009 ‘It’s Showtime’ fund raising calendar, created by Jupiter to raise awareness and funds for ORBS (oncoplastic reconstructive breast surgery) has scooped an international people’s award!</p>

<p>The calendar was created and shot by Jupiter’s Adam Shaw (Photographer) and Lorna Milligan (Creative Director), and featured 13 women who have all experienced breast cancer.</p>
<p>Adam entered a selection of portraits from the <a title="ORBS" href="http://px3.fr/winners/2009/zoom.php?eid=1-10757-09&amp;uid=3228970" target="_blank">ORBS</a> calendar into the international photo competition – the <a href="http://px3.fr/" target="_blank">Prix de la Photographie (PX3)</a>, which was recently held in Paris.</p>
<p>PX3 is Europe’s biggest and most prestigious photographic competition. Px3 strives to promote the appreciation of photography, to discover emerging talent, and introduce photographers from around the world to the artistic community of Paris.</p>
<p>Alongside the main competition, they run a &#8216;People&#8217;s Choice&#8217; award, voted for not by the judging panel but by people online.</p>
<p>Nearly 18,000 people voted and ORBS won the ‘People’s Choice’ award.</p>
<p>We’re delighted to have won this special accolade and hope that it helps to further raise awareness and generate more critical donations.</p>

<p>The session was attended by some of Jupiter&#8217;s clients from across the public and private sector and was run by Stuart Cross.</p>

<p>Stuart Cross (founder of <a href="http://www.morgancross.co.uk/" target="_blank">Morgan Cross Consulting</a>) helps some of the world&#8217;s top companies develop creative solutions to challenging strategic issues. His clients include <a href="http://www.allianceboots.com/" target="_blank">Alliance Boots</a>, <a href="http://www.pwc.co.uk/" target="_blank">PricewaterhouseCoopers</a> and <a href="http://www.avon.uk.com/PRSuite/home_page.page" target="_blank">Avon Cosmetics</a>.  Before founding Morgan Cross, Stuart was Head of Strategy and Head of New Store Formats at <a href="http://www.boots.com" target="_blank">Boots</a>.</p>
<p>The session contained insights, advice and examples which were powerful and highly relevant to today&#8217;s economic climate, from how innovation can be used at the heart of an organisation to when to persevere with a new growth initiative and when it&#8217;s time to boldly change course.</p>

That’s why were delighted to be approached by the Age Concern South Staffordshire team recently.</p>

<p>With an ever ageing population and the squeeze on our nation’s resources, Age Concern’s mission to promote the wellbeing of all older people and make life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience impacts on us all, our families and communities.</p>
<p>Age Concern South Staffordshire is the largest voluntary sector provider of social care in the south of the county.</p>
<p>The executive team invited us to spend some time with them, where they shared their challenges, opportunities and their focus areas in order to reach out and positively impact on more older people in the area.</p>
<p>We created a suggested approach for future marketing and communications, with insights and ideas for how to reach out to existing and new end users,  their families, friends, volunteers and fundraisers.</p>
<p>Our aim was to help them kick start activities that would be simple, reach out to people in a more emotionally engaging way to raise awareness and increase the number of older people that could benefit from what’s on offer.</p>
<p><em>&#8220;Personalisation of social care will mean that our client group will be able to pick and choose the services they want from a provider of their choice. It is therefore essential for us to develop a bolder approach to marketing to ensure that older people, their families and carers are aware of how Age Concern South Staffordshire can help them. The assistance from Jupiter has helped us to develop new ideas about how this may be achieved&#8221;.</em></p>

<p>Last night saw the launch of a project that&#8217;s close to our hearts.</p>
<p>It was a few months ago that Sally White (lead fundraiser and the driving force behind <a title="ORBS" href="http://www.orbswalk.com" target="_blank">ORBS</a>) had the idea of creating a unique calendar. The target was to use the calendar to raise much-needed funds for a research nurse at <a title="The Nottingham Breast Institute" href="http://www.nuh.nhs.uk/nch/breastinstitute/" target="_blank">The Nottingham Breast Institute</a>.</p>

<p><a title="Jayne Mayled" href="http://www.jupitercreative.co.uk/talent/jayne-mayled.php">Jayne Mayled</a>, Jupiter’s MD, and Sally developed the idea together and then a small team at Jupiter set to work&#8230;</p>
<p>We gathered a group of women together – contacts of Sally&#8217;s who had experienced breast cancer and who had come through it with an amazing zest for life and fearless confidence. At that meeting, each woman shared their personal journey – their hopes, dreams and ambitions. These very personal insights gave Creative Director Lorna Milligan and photographer Adam Shaw the inspiration and ideas to create each individual shot.</p>
<p>Each concept came to life through drawings, images and language that set the scene and helped to build a picture for the type of locations, props and clothing we wanted. Slowly but surely the calendar came to life, and the idea of holding an exhibition to further raise awareness and funds was born.</p>
<p>The launch event was a huge success, with over 100 clients, suppliers, friends and family coming along to support ORBS. To see photos from the launch night visit the <a title="ORBS gallery" href="http://www.jupitercreative.co.uk/orbsgallery">ORBS gallery</a>.</p>

They&#8217;ve got a real passion (just like us) for great design, style and performance. And with more than 600 products including cutting-edge range <a href="http://www.cda.eu/Products/Rangecookers" target="_blank">cookers</a>, <a href="http://www.cda.eu/Products/Ovens" target="_blank">ovens</a>, <a href="http://www.cda.eu/Products/Dishwashers" target="_blank">dishwashers</a>, <a href="http://www.cda.eu/Products/Laundry" target="_blank">washing machines</a> and <a href="http://www.cda.eu/Products/Extractors" target="_blank">extractors</a> – they&#8217;ve got it all plus the kitchen <a href="http://www.cda.eu/Products/Sinks" target="_blank">sink</a>.</p>
